My double eyelid surgery review after 8 years (the hospital I went to doesn’t show up…

Going back to 8 years ago, when I was in 10th grade... a country mouse living in Jeonju decided to get double eyelid surgery.., It was my first cosmetic surgery, and even just 8 years ago there weren’t apps like Gangnam Unni or Babitalk, so getting information basically meant asking acquaintances or searching Naver? That was about it. For some strange reason, in Jeonju, when it came to double eyelid surgery, an ophthalmology clinic called GHS, not even a plastic surgery clinic, was famous (to the point that whether adults or people my age, if you asked, “Where should I get double eyelid surgery?” they’d say, “Isn’t GHS famous?”) For me, I just really wanted to get away from double eyelid glue, so I wanted to have the surgery as quickly as possible. So I went for my first consultation through a hospital that was fairly famous in Jeonju + recommendations from acquaintances, and I immediately put down a deposit and left. I decided so easily without properly looking into it,, if I could see myself back in 10th grade now, I’d grab myself by the hair and pack lunches to keep following and stopping myself.. Anyway, their surgical method was unusual too. First, it was local anesthesia, so I got about 6-8 anesthetic injections in each eye? and I was trembling throughout the whole surgery, but they turned on the radio and the nurse held my hand, so it was at least bearable,.. But afterward.. they tied about 2 threads to my eye, pulled those threads up to my eyebrow, covered it with gauze as is, and taped it shut? I had to stay like that for 24 hours without being able to see. I thought all double eyelid surgeries were originally like that, but I’ve never seen any hospital do it this way except this place. But even now, 8 years later, my epicanthoplasty scar is severe and the incisional line scar is severe too, so it made me wonder, is cosmetic surgery something you really have to do in the Seoul metropolitan area?
