I had ptosis correction for monolids and epicanthoplasty with Director Bae In-ho at a clinic. The surgery was performed on July 20. I didn’t think the surgery would hurt, but I was very nervous, and during the surgery, when they touched the upper part of my eyes, it wasn’t so much painful as it felt like a nerve was being severed, which was extremely uncomfortable. During the surgery, the director had me sit up from time to time and told me to look for myself, continuously checking the shape of my eyes as he proceeded. Before the surgery started, they played music, and if it hadn’t been for the music, I think I would have been too anxious to stay still lol After the surgery ended and the anesthesia wore off, I had a slight stinging ache, and it hurt a little more around the second day than the day after surgery. After that, it was hard because my eyes were itchy, maybe because I couldn’t wash them.
I had the stitches removed on July 27, and the director said it seemed to have turned out well. He also said the double eyelids would become like inner double eyelids over time. The photo above is from week one, and I think the swelling at the surgical site went down faster than I expected, and I was satisfied with the shape when I looked at it. But the yellowish bruising around my eyes and the swelling around the bridge of my nose still seem to remain. I’ll have to wait longer to know for sure, but for now, I think I’m really satisfied with both the surgical process and the result. It was my first surgery, so I’m very relieved that it seems to have gone well, and I hope the remaining swelling goes away quickly. When choosing a clinic, everyone, don’t just go to one or two places because it’s a hassle. I think getting consultations at several places gives you the most peace of mind. (If you decide without getting many consultations, you’ll feel much more anxious...) I hope everyone can get good information from this community~!!
