A bulbous nose with wide nostrils and thick nasal skin? That’s me.. hahaha My bulbous nose was seriously so bad that I thought I should at least get alar reduction no matter what. I have a friend with a nose similar to mine, and the two of us were always called nose people lol That friend came back after surgery and looked like a different person;; When I thought of rhinoplasty, I imagined a chalk-like nose or an obvious plastic-surgery look, but hers turned out so natural that I told her to give me the info right away lol I had only been thinking about alar reduction, but then I thought I might as well get my nose done overall, so I went for a consultation.
It was my first time at a plastic surgery clinic, so I was scared, but my friend came with me, so it was at least a bit better.. During the consultation with the director, he took one look at my nose and gave his verdict, then took a CT scan and examined it in a lot of detail, you know? They said I also had a slight hump and that my nose was crooked, so I had a deviated/crooked nose too.. Damn cursed nose.. feels like it has every bad feature.. hahahaha So I decided to get hump correction, alar reduction, and crooked nose correction.
For materials, we decided to use silicone for the nasal bridge and septal cartilage/donated costal cartilage for the nasal tip I said I’d do whatever they recommended, booked as a total true believer, and had surgery quickly. I think everything from consultation to surgery moved really fast hahaha Later, when I went to have the splint removed, the director checked my progress too and told me the surgery went well, so I felt relieved. I had also gotten friendly with the staff, and when they saw me, they said the surgery really turned out well, so I was secretly proud.. hahahaha Even though I still have quite a bit of swelling, I’m already so satisfied with how much smaller my nostrils are...
There’s still a lot of time left before it fully stabilizes, but even if I lived with my nose in this current state, it’s already so much prettier than before that I think I’d be satisfied hehe
