I had my first nose surgery so suddenly, when I really knew absolutely nothing.. In the end, I had the silicone removed because of an inflammatory reaction (they suggested trying to replace the silicone, so I did, but the inflammatory reaction continued, so I had it taken out). Once the silicone was removed right away, contracture started.. The hospital told me to wait 6 months.. It’s easy to say 6 months, but it’s hell.. So I really couldn’t bear looking at my face and went ahead with autologous dermis surgery.. But my nasal tip was still a mess.. (Because there wasn’t enough extra skin, they couldn’t touch the nasal tip at all.) I lived for a year with my columella sunken in,,, then had revision surgery using autologous costal cartilage.. I didn’t put anything at all in the nasal bridge, and used only autologous costal cartilage + ear cartilage for the nasal tip. At first I was so satisfied, but then the columella gradually got shorter again, almost as if it were contracting..? So I had columellar lengthening again.. It did get longer, and there is no problem at all with daily life.... but I’m still so bothered by the nasal tip and columella Having another revision surgery is too horrifying, but... if I’m going to keep being bothered by it, it would be better to get a consultation at another hospital, right.? Is there anyone who has had revision surgery with autologous costal cartilage.::
