Eight years after my first surgery, in 2022, I had revision surgery using donated costal cartilage.
There wasn't much difference, and after 3 months, the nasal tip drooped again and nostril show became even worse, so 9 months later I got an AS revision.
The nasal tip is still holding up so far, but it still wasn't much different from my first surgery.
I made and showed them a Photoshopped picture of the nose line I wanted and explained it,
and they said they were confident this time and told me not to worry...
Even if they couldn't make the nose line exactly like the Photoshop, there is almost no difference from my original nose. (People don't even notice that I got my nose done again, and even when I send before-and-after photos, they can't really tell which is before and which is after.)
And when I visited the clinic for a progress check and talked about this concern, they reacted as if puzzled, saying, "Why is it like this...?"
Then they said they would do another AS revision for me..
So I said, after opening my nose twice with almost no difference, honestly, how can I entrust it to you again when my trust is broken?
I asked if I could get a refund if it doesn't work this time either, and they said okay. (They also wrote the refund details in the chart.)
For the moment I said okay, and since I had an overseas business trip, I went and came back, then contacted them again to ask about the refund.
They said a refund is absolutely impossible, and that doctor was a salaried doctor and had no authority to issue refunds. They said, however, that from a moral standpoint they would proceed with the AS revision with another director.
At the time, the consultant never mentioned anything about a salaried doctor, and now they say that consultant and the doctor have both left the clinic...(I don't know if that's true.)
So for now, I have scheduled a consultation with the head director, but since this is all AS, they said it would take a few days with some sort of confirmation process.
(Previously, they scheduled the surgery date so quickly...)
So I have so, so many concerns. Should I first go ahead with the consultation at this clinic and trust another director to get the AS revision, or should I look for another clinic?
I'm sure they wouldn't, but somehow because it's AS, I feel like they might do it half-heartedly, so I'm anxious..
I also went to a consultation at one other clinic today, and I liked the director's consultation style, but the consultant quoted 12 million won...
I went through an acquaintance's referral, and they said they had revision surgery for 5.5 million won, so I went thinking around 5 to 7 million won. (When I mentioned this, they said, "That was then, and now is different~")
It was much higher than the price I had in mind, so I left for the time being.
But while I was on my way home, they contacted me again, kind of as if they wanted to negotiate?
Then they added a few conditions and quoted 8.8 million won, but the gap was so big that it didn't feel good!
So I think I need to go around to a lot of other clinics for consultations..
Of course every clinic is different, but roughly how much should I expect the estimate to be??
I want to raise it firmly with autologous costal cartilage and want a glamorous style. (I have thin skin.)
And if there are any good clinics, please recommend them with initials, everyone.
