After my first surgery, I lived with it so-so for a few years, then I thought it would look pretty if I just lifted the rounded nasal tip and the drooping columella, so I got revision surgery.
The result was a witch nose, pointy nose, plastic-surgery-gone-wrong nose. I didn’t put in any implant like silicone, and maybe because my original nasal bridge was high, it immediately became a witch nose. If someone saw my side profile, they’d instantly gasp, that’s how bad it was lol I clearly asked for it to look natural, just slightly noticeable or almost not noticeable... but the doctor did it in his own style. Turns out there weren’t just one or two reviews saying that, unlike his consultation, this doctor does the results however he wants, and I wasn’t the only one it happened to.
It was hard to live with such a botched-looking nose, so after completing 1 year, I immediately started looking into revision surgery. But while working, it was hard to take long annual leave, and the doctor who did the revision said it was a simple surgery where he only had to remove the cartilage from the nasal tip, so the recovery period wouldn’t be long. He said at other clinics I’d have to go through the same hardship, but if the same doctor who did the revision did it, he’d only charge the anesthesia fee and the recovery would be short. So I did it, and ended up with an ugly nose that obviously looks like rhinoplasty.
There’s a truth that says not to go back to the clinic that botched you, but I did it for my own convenience and now I’m looking into a 4th surgery. If I could have rested for just one week, I wouldn’t have done it there.
For the 4th surgery, I’m going to remove the autologous rib cartilage, so I’ll probably take a month off or quit my job to do it.
