Before <Before revision surgery,, people around me asked if I’d really had my nose done ^^> After <1 week and 1 month after revision surgery> After <2 months after revision surgery> My nasal tip was low and I had a pretty bulbous nose, so I’d had rhinoplasty once before. But back then I didn’t know much about plastic surgery, and because I was scared, thinking, “What if it fails?” I couldn’t properly say what style I wanted. I just had it done naturally, as the clinic recommended, and that became the reason my first nose surgery failed.. lol
As you can see, even though I’d had rhinoplasty, people around me only said things like, “Did you really get your nose done?” and “It looks so natural,” so I gradually got stressed too. Since I usually like dressing up and doing my makeup in a more glamorous style, I was always dissatisfied with my low nose even after surgery.
And as time passed, I felt like my nasal tip was drooping a little.. lol I wondered if I was the only one feeling that way, so I took photos by period, and it really felt like the nasal tip was getting lower little by little, so I eventually decided to get revision surgery.
This time, I specifically went around to clinics that mainly do the glamorous and sophisticated style I wanted. I thought that way, even if I got flustered during the consultation, the doctor would still be able to design it well for me. Since it was revision surgery, I didn’t just visit one or two places and stop; I went to several places, and it took quite a while to choose the clinic for surgery. (Honestly, part of this was because I was more sensitive since it was revision surgery.. but I’m saying this because I hope everyone reading this will decide carefully. I still regret thinking, what if I had done this for my first surgery too.. lol)
When I heard the explanation about revision rhinoplasty at Louvre, the doctor explained various methods focused on improving nasal tip drooping and creating a glamorous design. I was debating the material, but autologous costal cartilage is material harvested from my own body, and they said the support would be strong and help prevent the nasal tip from drooping, so I chose that.
Honestly, the biggest reason I chose the clinic was that, among all the places I visited, they gave the most thorough consultation and clearly told me what style my nose would change into after revision surgery! The doctor checked my CT data? the images they took, and checked both the front and side of my nose, then carefully planned the design. At some places, the consultation was just like, “You can do it this way,” but here they checked and told me whether my nose could come out with the feeling I wanted after revision surgery. They honestly told me if something would be too much, and also if there were areas where doing more probably wouldn’t make a difference.
What I felt after getting revision surgery was: 1. There was less swelling and recovery was faster than my first surgery. 2. Raising the nasal tip made me really satisfied. Those were the two things.
Honestly, during my first surgery, I wore a mask for the whole month because of swelling, but this time, once the splint came off, it wasn’t severe enough to think, “This is pretty okay..?” so I didn’t intentionally cover it. Since there was less swelling, I actually walked diligently because I wanted it to settle even a day sooner.
Now people around me also say that a glamorous nose definitely suits me~ ^^.. Part of me still feels regretful, thinking what if it had been like this from the first surgery, but I’m considering myself fortunate that I got a nose I’m quite satisfied with even now. Since it’s higher from the nasal bridge to the nasal tip, I don’t even do the contour shading I used to always do, and I’m actually going around bare-faced just fine lol Since my features became more defined, I don’t really need shadow makeup.
This got pretty long as I wrote it, but everyone, when choosing a clinic not only for revision surgery but also for first surgery, make sure to check whether the clinic’s design direction matches what you’re pursuing. Otherwise there can be conflict of opinions when setting the design.. and your rhinoplasty might not turn out the way you want! I wrote this review hoping even one person avoids making the same mistake I did haha
