Hello. At the end of June last year, I had surgery on my nasal tip using septal cartilage and ear cartilage, and because of the foreign-body sensation and mental distress, I had it removed after 3 weeks. Somehow 10 months have already passed. Since my nasal bridge is on the high side, I was told it would look pretty even if I only did the nasal tip, and I still hate myself for thinking it was not a big deal and deciding to undergo the major surgery that is rhinoplasty. In fact, even after the removal surgery, I had a lot of bad thoughts.. Of course, I gradually got better and have forgotten a lot now, but my nose is still not like before. It is hard and uncomfortable, and it has clearly become more fragile than before. The shape has gradually returned to the original nasal tip height.. It could go down more, but I don't think there will be any further change noticeable enough for others to recognize. I am satisfied with the shape. And around the 6-month mark, my nose became noticeably softer and more comfortable, so I thought, ah, enduring this was worth it after all; my body had been steadily recovering. I thought I should never even dream of cosmetic surgery again and should live with gratitude. But as the weather started getting warm (from this month), my nose suddenly became hard again and felt like it was clumping up?? Then my head hurt too, and when I lie on my side to sleep, my nasal tip feels heavy and like it is being pulled to one side… It is not serious, and I could live while ignoring it if I wanted, but my nose is on the large side, and maybe because the septal cartilage was cut out, it feels like the nose cannot be supported. When I lie on my left side, the weight shifts left, and when I lie on my right side, it shifts that way again.. It feels like that phenomenon is happening. When I ask friends who have had nose surgery, they say nothing will happen and not to think too sensitively, but I feel anxious every day that a body part I have to use for at least 60 more years is already like this. Since it hasn't even been 1 year yet, I keep being careful and try not to touch it as much as possible. I have also seen posts saying something went wrong after massaging, so I don't massage either, and I just think I will never be able to make a pig nose for the rest of my life.. This post got way too rambling and long. I came back to this community after a long time because I was curious whether anyone who had surgery using septal cartilage and then had it removed has symptoms like this. Let's share our own experiences….

I wonder if the shape can be like this with nothing left inside. Did they remove everything? It’s probably because it’s still early, right?

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoMay 22 Has anyone had removal at 5 months?
Because of my circumstances, if I wait the full 6 months, I’ll have to do it much later, so I want removal at the 5-month mark. My recovery from the primary surgery was fast, so I think I’d be okay, but would removal at 5 months be very…
