I had incisional double eyelid surgery 7 years ago, but it came undone after 3 years. After thinking about revision surgery for 4~5 years, I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery a month ago. I like the line, but my eye swelling still hasn’t gone down yet so I’m waiting for it to go down.
My friends say it has gone down a lot, but they say it’s still not to the point where I can go around without glasses.... My residual swelling really lasts a long time, so I think I’ll have to wait about 6 months....
I feel like double eyelid surgery really needs 2 years to fully settle...
In conclusion, this hospital did a good job creating the line, but there were quite a few things I didn’t like. Before the surgery, the front desk staff member was a foreigner, so their Korean was very awkward, and they hadn’t been here long, so it was a bit hard to understand what they were saying. But they were trying hard, so I understood this much. But after I changed before surgery, the surgical gown seriously smelled so bad....;;; So I changed into clothes from another locker, but those smelled too I guess they don’t do laundry here at all... so that made me think, uh-oh.
And after washing my face here, I wiped my face with a towel, and the towel smelled like laundry that hadn’t fully dried? like a sour smell. It was even a rough towel that hadn’t been dried in a dryer. So that was my second uh-oh moment.
Even before the surgery, the waiting time was extremely long, and I think I waited another 40 minutes lying on the operating table. And before doing anything, they didn’t explain anything to me at all.
There was absolutely no guidance like, the anesthetic is going in, or when the doctor would arrive. Then at some point I fell asleep, and around the time the surgery was ending, it hurt a little so I frowned, and in almost that state, it ended quickly in less than 1 minute? or so
I think the line came out well, but double eyelid surgery is something you only know after 6 months, so I can’t say for sure, and I wasn’t that satisfied with the process before, during, and after surgery.
Even during postoperative care after the surgery, the staff didn’t really guide me well But for a Japanese person, one staff member stayed with them and took dedicated care of them, explaining everything in detail There was none of that for me at all.
My friend also had it done here,,, hmm maybe it was only like that when I went.. anyway, this is how the hospital was based on my experience.
The fact that the surgical gowns and towels weren’t managed properly was truly shocking among shocking things. It also made me wonder if the surgical bed might not be managed at all either... hmm.. if I could go back, I might not choose this hospital.
Everyone, please take this into consideration when getting surgery.
I’ll tell you again finally after 3~6 months have passed regarding the line. In conclusion, now that a month has passed, the line symmetry and shape did come out the way I wanted~!
