I went to a total of 5 hospitals just for examinations, and in the end, after going around and around, I went to the hospital I first chose

That hospital in Seocho Building in Gangnam that is famous for two-day LASEK!
8 years ago, I only had genetic testing and an examination to see whether LASEK was possible, then kept putting it off, and finally got LASEK
I had LASEK at the end of May 2023, and at first Director ㅇㅈㅇ judged that LASEK was not possible.
It felt like the sky was falling.
Every hospital except this one said LASEK was possible, and there was even a hospital that said revision would be possible too...
That hospital was advertising with celebrities.. I felt my trust instantly disappear.
I pleaded with Director ㅇㅈㅇ, got medication prescribed, and we agreed to recheck a week later.
They made it clear that if the numbers came out low then too, they would not do the surgery here.
The first examination value did not reach 500.. At other hospitals, because there was variation, it even came out up to 520.
I tried to negotiate with the eye examiner, asking if they could give the director the best value that came out, but I got rejected^^
They said they set it based on the lowest value.. Anyway, in just a week, my cornea rose slightly to a level where surgery was possible
For the surgery, with high myopia + extra LASEK, I paid around 3.6 million won in total
LASEK???? It was really over in 3 seconds......... I looked hard at the green light, got praised, and it was over
My strongest thought was, why did I only do this now? And actually, because I had high myopia, about -6.5, I did not care about things like glare.. If I took off my glasses, things looked blurry anyway
They had to see my one-month follow-up, so the director said they would not do the surgery if I could not come for the one-month follow-up.
So I took 6 weeks of vacation and came to Korea
In the end, I think I really did the right thing. I know LASEK has many side effects and that vision can worsen, but since I wore glasses from 6th grade in elementary school until age 33, I thought it would be okay to live without glasses for about 10 years, so I did it.
My dry eye was so severe that even disposable lenses made my eyes sting, and I could no longer get by with contact lenses, so I had the surgery, and I am satisfied
Of course, sometimes when I wake up in the morning, it feels like my eyes are going to tear apart
It feels like I am waking up while my eyes are being forcibly pulled open.
I think dry eye cannot be helped, but still, I am very satisfied
Sometimes I am a little scared that my vision might drop quickly, but it makes me wonder why I did not have the surgery sooner
It is so convenient that I cannot go back to a life with glasses

At ㅇㅇㅅ, I was judged unsuitable for lens implantation. More precisely, they said it was possible, but my eyes would need the lenses removed within 6 months
They said my eyes were very distorted, and even if I did it, I would definitely have to remove them someday, so I should not wastefully do lens implantation.
The quote for lens implantation at that hospital was 6 million won.
But rather than an expensive surgery, this hospital had high standards for the surgery that suited me and for the corneal ablation limit, so for me, it was a hospital I was satisfied with
Of course, it is a large, factory-style hospital, but after visiting the other 4 hospitals too, the director who suited me was Director ㅇㅈㅇ.
Because it was two-day LASEK, recovery was fast. On the first day, I cried, my eyes stung like crazy, but ate meat; on the second day, it hurt a bit; and on the third day, once the protective lens was removed, the world felt comfortable.
