I already intended to get LASIK, but I heard that because I had high myopia, if it got even a little lower, I wouldn’t be able to have surgery So I asked people around me who had LASIK where they got it done, and I had surgery right away, so I didn’t separately shop around I had the consultation and went into surgery the very next day, but honestly LASIK is closer to a medical surgery than cosmetic surgery, so I wasn’t worried Before correction, I was -6.5 -8, and immediately after surgery, my vision was 1.2 1.0 in both eyes But right after surgery I moved, so I haven’t gone to any regular checkups, so I don’t really know my current vision.. I’m not sure if this is because I had high myopia? But after surgery, I developed dry eye syndrome, So I go every month to get a prescription for artificial tears (the ones with hyaluronic acid apparently can’t be bought without a prescription) Still, my vision was so bad before that I’m satisfied living without glasses... It’s the best not having them fog up in winter
