I had always been concerned about my dorsal hump and glabella area, so after deliberating over rhinoplasty, I decided to undergo surgery this time. There were many hospitals offering non-incisional rhinoplasty, but I looked for one where CCTV viewing was available and an anesthesiology director was always present, and I went to [Clinic A] for a consultation. Since I work, it was difficult to allow a long recovery period, so I chose non-incisional jelly-nose surgery because I liked that relatively quick recovery was possible in about a week. Before surgery, I expected to be very nervous because it was nose surgery, but the examination and preparation after arriving at the hospital went much more smoothly than expected. The staff kindly explained each step, so I did not feel particularly scared or anxious before entering the operating room. In the recovery room, they checked whether I was uncomfortable and comfortably explained the aftercare, which I appreciated. Surprisingly, my ear hurt the most, more than my nose. It was unexpected that the ear pain felt strongest even though I had nose surgery, but it gradually improved. I diligently used the cold packs from the hospital and regularly applied ointment to my nose and ear as instructed. During recovery, I avoided spicy foods and mainly ate rice porridge. Rather than lying down all the time, I took light walks when I felt well, and returning to daily life was not as difficult as I had expected. At first, the swelling and splint were somewhat uncomfortable, but as each day passed, I could see the swelling decrease and felt that I was recovering. When I first saw my profile after removing the splint, there was still some swelling, but the hump and glabella area that had bothered me looked more refined than before, so I’m looking forward to the final settled result. Personally, I was satisfied not only with the surgery but also with the consultation process. From the initial consultation through scheduling, I felt they tried to accommodate my situation as much as possible, so I could proceed without feeling pressured. I received kind guidance on the surgery day and throughout recovery, so overall I felt comfortable. Since it has only been one week, I need to wait a little longer for the final result, but for now I’m following the hospital’s instructions, watching the swelling go down and the nose settle into place :)
