It’s been about a month since my rhinoplasty. Three days ago, the edge of my ear started itching slightly—around the ear rim, I think. It wasn’t the surgical site, so I thought it was just a mosquito bite. Since yesterday, the itchy area has spread, and it was so itchy that I applied a little eye ointment. Today it became unbearably itchy, and the surface behind my ear is very bumpy and rough I think it may be dermatitis, but I can’t find anyone with the same experience Could it simply be unrelated dermatitis? I contacted the coordinator in charge, but since it’s a public holiday, they’ll probably call tomorrow The burning and heat sensation seem to be getting worse, so I looked for an open dermatology clinic and went. The dermatologist said it could be a postoperative complication and couldn’t readily prescribe medication They said this was the first time they had seen someone come in with this kind of case, and since it wasn’t clear whether it was related to the surgery, it would be best to get examined at the clinic where I had the surgery. I was only given antibiotics and ointment for now.. I thought I was recovering well without any problems for a month, so I’m really scared
