The surgeon explained things calmly and clearly. However, the consultant was extremely forceful about the deposit. They did not explain anything about postoperative care and gave me the impression that they cared only about money. I am hesitating because the surgeon seems likely to understand my needs, but the lack of postoperative-care information and the intense pressure to pay a deposit (especially the pressure to book that day, and the fact that they showed no sign of letting me leave until I paid the deposit...) made me very uncomfortable. The price was similar to other places, and it felt far too much like a factory-style clinic. It made me wonder whether this is normal.
