11-day breast surgery review *Long post warning

Hi, it’s been 11 days since surgery, and I’m surprisingly feeling much more human, so I came to post a review. Please check the specifications in my first review; I forgot and couldn’t copy and paste them, haha. As I said in my first review, I’m writing this very honestly about what I’m experiencing, hoping it helps people considering surgery, preparing for surgery, or anxiously searching for reviews after surgery. It may not help people who are still choosing a hospital^^. I spent the first week overwhelmed and miserable, with a different kind of pain every day and anxiety that felt like I was developing a mental breakdown. Yesterday it hurt so much I could barely walk, but today I suddenly felt much better, which was amazing, so I came back to record my progress before forgetting the pain lol. Honestly, without this pain I might not have followed the no-alcohol/no-smoking rules and could already have needed revision surgery because of inflammation. I’m a little less Tyrannosaurus-like now, so I brought photos while still quite swollen. I hope this helps people who feel anxious and regretful because their photos look pretty while they wonder whether only they look abnormal. From the side I look like pigeon breasts, and from the front like pecs, so I can’t wait to have my progress checked by the director in three days T_T. Please refer to my notes about the pain: Day 4: Because the nipples may be swollen, the left one is pointing downward. The right breast is much tighter and more painful; I’m scared something is wrong. Sharp prickling, shortness of breath, and severe pain—is it the skin rather than the muscle? I felt so uncomfortable that I lay on the floor with my head against the bathroom floor while my caregiver washed my hair ^^ lol. I somehow showered by myself. The feeling of my skin expanding continued through day 6: prickly and unpleasant pain. Every time I stood up, my breasts lurched and felt as if the implants were sinking. Day 7: I took the bus to the hospital, had the stitches removed, and received infrared treatment and a pack. The skin still hurt, with a feeling like it might burst at any moment T_T. Because it was a holiday, I couldn’t see the director, so I’ll have my progress checked at week two. I asked whether raising my arms during stitch removal could rupture the incision. They said no, but bleeding could occur inside and fill with blood, so I got scared and am not raising my arms. I couldn’t press the bus bell myself; I might not have been able to get off if no one had pressed it lol. Day 8: First day taking medication for capsular contracture, and a different pain now that I’m no longer taking prescribed painkillers. The upper band is softer than expected, but wearing it continuously may be rubbing my skin, because it hurts T_T. Besides the pain, it seems to upset my digestion and makes me short of breath and uncomfortable; I woke up because of the pressure. Now the armpit incision hurts and bothers me more than the breasts. I’m worried about sitting all day at work tomorrow after the holiday. The doctor who removed my stitches said the swelling and shape were normal, but I’m anxious because every time I look in the mirror, the swelling extends upward and makes me look like pigeon breasts T_T. I should stop looking in the mirror. Day 9: Sharp pain alternates with a cramping muscle-pain sensation. This is exhausting. I endured work by taking Tylenol almost every two hours, then collapsed when I got home. Sitting all day made my shoulders roll forward, and my shoulders, back, waist, breasts—everything hurt T_T. What do people mean when they say they returned to work after only three days off? Day 10: Oh? It seems a little less painful. The nipples are still sensitive and sore, and the sensation of the skin stretching is strange. The breasts now feel like mild muscle pain. The left nipple’s sensation fully returned around day 4, while the right still feels somewhat numb. But both hurt so badly that I absolutely can’t wear clothes without nipple patches. Day 11: I woke up and it hurt less than yesterday—amazing. But because I have an office job, when I walk after sitting all day, it feels as if my breasts will fall off. The upper and side skin holding them in place hurts. The lower and outer breast areas that hurt until now feel slightly softer—amazing. But I still look like I have pigeon breasts. That’s the end of my 11-day review! I hope it gets better every day. Bye 👋
