I have monolids, but my eyes are fairly large and protruding, so even a slight increase in crease height would look overwhelming on me! I like wearing makeup, and I have been told I look tired, so I decided to do it. I want an in-out to semi-out crease that is visible overall.
First, I consulted [Clinic A]. I spoke with a consultation manager, and the surgeon could consult again after booking the surgery. Both non-incisional and incisional methods are possible, but the surgeon recommended an incision. Ptosis correction is included by default, and only a very small amount of fat should be removed. An in-out crease was recommended because a semi-out crease could become sausage-like. The consultation was very kind and thorough, but I felt uneasy because I could not consult directly with the surgeon, so this is currently my second choice.
Second was [Clinic B], with Dr. A. The consultation manager was present, but the doctor seemed very busy, came over briefly to look at me, and hurried away again. Although the consultation was short, the doctor pointed out that my left brow bone sits lower. Non-incisional surgery was strongly recommended, and the doctor said that even if it loosened and had to be redone, they would still recommend the non-incisional method. The reason was that an incision creates a more defined crease and could make my expression look too wide-eyed. Ptosis correction: yes; medial canthoplasty: no; in-out crease recommended. Because the consultation was too short, my trust dropped, so this is third place.
Finally, I consulted the surgeon at [Clinic C], followed by the consultation manager. Ptosis correction was not recommended. The surgeon said that the skin would be lifted even with double-eyelid surgery alone, and that if I did not actually have ptosis, there was no need to correct it. No medial canthoplasty; in-out recommended. The surgeon said that in-out and semi-out would look the same here. Both non-incisional and incisional methods are possible, with incision recommended for the long term. I had asked because [Clinic B] said an incision would make me look too wide-eyed, but here they said there is no difference in impression between the two methods. This was the only clinic where the prices were the same.
For just double-eyelid surgery, [Clinic C] is the least expensive. They also designed the crease so beautifully that I am most drawn to this clinic. It is currently my first choice. The prices are [Clinic A] > [Clinic B] > [Clinic C]. However, when I looked for reviews of [Clinic C], I could not find many. I want to make up my mind firmly after looking at review photos and various posts. Could you tell me what your experience with [Clinic C] was? I am also curious about [Clinic A]!! This is my first cosmetic surgery, so I am very worried about whether the clinics I chose really have good reviews, and I am posting to ask for advice!
