Started at the end of March last year and had the appliance removed in June this year - took 1 year and 3 months
I started orthodontic treatment for aesthetic reasons because my lower jaw felt like it protruded slightly. I was diagnosed with a mild edge-to-edge bite, and they said that because my jaw itself is slightly large compared with my facial bone structure, my jaw would not become dramatically smaller or recede, but that I could expect a slight effect. After orthodontic treatment, my jaw receded a little, so my original complex was resolved, but when viewed from the front, the angle of my jaw changed, making my face look a bit longer and slimmer, so I often hear that I look more feminine but also more mature.. Before, I had a somewhat cute impression, but I feel like that has disappeared.. Nasolabial folds subtly appeared. I think they appeared because the teeth that originally protruded moved inward by about the same amount as their volume..
There are gains and losses, and every day when I look in the mirror, I find myself wondering whether I did the right thing or whether I should not have done it haha...
