Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

After jaw surgery for malocclusion, I am cutting pickled radish with my front teeth lol

I was really struggling with malocclusion and my jaw joint, so I had orthognathic surgery haha. During the first 3 weeks, the swelling did not go down as quickly as I expected, but when I compared it with old photos, my side profile looked like my nose asymmetry had improved a bit and the tip of my nose looked slightly raised, which was fascinating. What I am most satisfied with is that the jaw joint pain is gone... Before, even with heat packs, Botox, and painkillers, it kept hurting, but about 3 months after the orthognathic surgery, the pain was almost gone, so everyday life became so much easier. My dad even said that just fixing the jaw joint alone meant the surgery was worth it haha And my front tooth bite also improved a lot. Even when I had orthodontic treatment before, my front teeth did not fit together cleanly and they felt a little protruded, but after surgery I can actually bite through pickled radish with my front teeth, which was kind of amazing. It was the first time in my life I felt them cut through that well haha By month 4, the swelling had gone down a lot and my face had become naturally familiar to me. Daily life is almost completely comfortable now. I still avoid very hard or very chewy foods, but I can exercise comfortably and my stamina has come back a lot. I do not have to worry about my front teeth, which used to be a complex of mine, and that feels great. Since I had it done at a oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic rather than a plastic surgery clinic, I trusted it even more, and I am so satisfied with the result that I think I chose the right hospital T_T
