Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

One year after double jaw surgery at Jea Dental Clinic, now I keep thinking I should have done it sooner

My facial asymmetry had been bothering me quite a lot. It was more noticeable in photos than in the mirror, and it was stressful because even when I smiled, the left and right sides looked slightly different. I also had the habit of chewing only on one side, so I started by getting a consultation. Double jaw surgery is such a big operation that I looked into many hospitals, but in the end I chose Jea Dental Clinic. A Seoul National University-trained oral and maxillofacial surgery specialist personally handled the consultation, and the explanation of how they would align my bite and facial balance was so detailed that I felt reassured. It felt like they were considering not just making me prettier, but also the functional side at the same time. Right after surgery, I worried a lot because of the swelling, but as time passed my facial lines gradually became more refined. Especially once the asymmetry improved, I almost never had to struggle to find the right angle for photos, and even my smile became much more natural. What I am most satisfied with is not that my face changed dramatically, but that my overall balance improved. People around me also say my impression has become cleaner, and almost no one realizes at first that I had double jaw surgery. If you are thinking about double jaw surgery, do not just look at before-and-after photos. Make sure to check whether the surgeon is a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, whether the consultation is thorough, and what kind of aftercare system they have. For me, the surgery I had at Jea Dental Clinic is still one of the procedures I am most satisfied with.
