The front tooth that had root canal treatment started turning darker over time, and it was seriously stressing me out. At first I tried not to pay much attention to it, but because it was a front tooth, I kept being aware of it when talking, and even when smiling I couldn’t open my mouth wide. When taking photos, I’d end up covering my mouth for no reason, and every time I looked in the mirror, that one tooth looked unusually dark, so it bothered me a lot more in daily life than I expected T_T At first I thought whitening would fix it, but it didn’t at all... After looking into it, I found out that discoloration in a root-canaled tooth can have limits with normal whitening. So after thinking about it, I decided to try no-prep laminate veneers. I felt like if I only did the discolored front tooth, the color might look off compared with the surrounding teeth, so I had the four upper front teeth done. I chose a color that was still natural but a bit brighter, and to my eyes it came out without looking artificial at all. I also really didn’t want it to look protruded like it was sticking out, so I asked them to make it as thin as possible?? Maybe because of that, there’s no foreign-body sensation, and it turned out nicely flat. Before the procedure, I was worried the front tooth alone might stick out or look too obvious, but once it was done, it looked more natural than expected and neatly refined. Rather than a dramatic transformation, it feels like the dark, bothersome parts of my original teeth were just cleanly tidied up. The color is definitely a lot brighter than before, but it isn’t uncomfortably bright, so I like it, and the best part is that I’ve stopped covering my front teeth every time I smile. There was a time last year when I was really set on doing this, so I kept thinking, why did I put it off...? lol I wish I had done it when I was even one year younger. Everyone, don’t delay like I did. If you have the money in your account, do it as soon as you can T_T The satisfaction really is top-tier.
