I had nose surgery 2 years ago (hump reduction, 3 mm silicone, ear cartilage, donated rib cartilage), and I don't have any symptoms of contracture or side effects. I'm unhappy with the shape, so I want to remove the silicone and refine the nose tip (I'm still debating whether to remove everything completely). I also had nostril narrowing before, so when the nose tip was raised, my nostrils look straight and it screams cosmetic surgery.. The reason I'm debating whether to remove the whole nose tip or not is that my original columella is recessed and I was told I didn't have enough cartilage in my nose, so donated rib cartilage was used to correct the columella. That's why I want to consult and then decide about the nose tip! (complete removal or refinement) To be honest, right after surgery, as soon as the splint came off, the doctor said the silicone was visible and that they had put in 3 mm instead of 3.5 mm. But even that 3 mm feels too high for me The silicone was inserted starting very high up, so my nose looks longer and too tall, and the tip is too sharp. It doesn't suit my face. I was afraid of opening the nose again so I just lived with it, but because my skin is thin the silicone seems to show through and I really hate how hard my nose feels. Natural is best.. The hospitals I already have consultations booked at are [Clinic A], [Clinic B], [Clinic C] If I still can't decide after going through them all, I plan to add [Clinic D]. If there are places I should add or remove here, please leave a comment... If anyone here has had nose reconstruction or revision surgery, reviews are welcome too T_T I really hope this time will be my last nose surgery, so I'll work hard and go to consultations.
