I had my first nose surgery about 10 years ago. I went there because of a referral saying they were good at noses, and I knew I was going to have surgery with a septum and ear cartilage. Right after surgery I liked it, since my nose became taller and more defined. But as time passed, my nose gradually became more upturned, the alar rims contracted, and the shape of my nose became distorted... So three years later I had revision surgery at another clinic, and when they opened my nose they said Medpor had been inserted... They had put in plastic pieces without even discussing it with me. From the doctor’s perspective, they used Medpor because it was cheap material and easy to shape... If I had had revision surgery at the same clinic, I would never have known Medpor was inside, even in my dreams, right?
