Wondeopul 원더풀Overall: 2.2/5

My buried double eyelid from another clinic three years ago came undone, so I had revision surgery with a partial incision. I had watched almost all of the surgeon's YouTube videos and went in with a good impression because the eyes often looked carefully matched and symmetrical. I liked my original line, and since I was simply having it redone because it had come undone, this was not a difficult double-eyelid case. They could have just recreated the original line, but the asymmetry is so severe that I cannot understand why it was done this way. The posterior line is higher on one side, making it look awkward. The surgeon recommended adding an upper canthoplasty, so I had that done too, but because of it the front parts of the lines became asymmetrical. One side is completely covered at the front, an in-fold, while the other is a completely open in-out fold. Of course, I fully understand that everyone is naturally asymmetrical and that differences caused by factors such as eye position or skin thickness can occur. I am not particularly sensitive to asymmetry either. If the difference had been minor, I would not even have brought it up. Moreover, the first surgery was symmetrical. Comparing photos from the first and revision surgeries is ridiculous... haha. I waited without filing a single complaint, thinking it was due to swelling, but... no, it wasn't. It has been well over a year now, haha. They will obviously say dissatisfaction with the shape is not eligible for aftercare, and even if they offered to fix it, I would not want it done here... I heard on YouTube that the surgeon is an ISFP, so they seem kind and pleasant, but the consultation was not professional at all. There was no anatomical analysis or explanation—just a gentle smile and comments like, “It will turn out well.” I felt something was off then, but I probably said okay because I wanted to get it done quickly. Unlike what I saw on YouTube, even on the day of surgery the design consultation system was not smooth. I remember the surgeon looking extremely tired despite it being the first appointment, and me being ushered into the operating room in a confused rush. When I said the line they marked seemed a little heavy, they said, “If we make it lower than this for a revision, won't you regret it later?” Then they said that if I preferred a natural look, they would compromise appropriately. Well, the result was... T_T I suppose this is what looks natural by the surgeon's standards... T_T. Ah, it wasn't even an extreme revision; it was just being redone because it had come undone, so of course I thought they would match it well... lol. In fact, from the YouTube videos, you can tell that the surgeon prefers rather high double-eyelid lines, or, put less kindly, sausage-like double eyelids. Even among the videos proudly posted as very successful cases, some made me think, “Isn't that too sausage-like?” I should have gone back when I first felt uneasy, but I blurred my vision, thinking they would accommodate my needs if I explained them. It also seems that many of the people who turned out well here simply had eye conditions that would look good no matter who operated on them, such as slightly prominent eyes and thin skin. Anyway, the surgeon's aesthetic sense is somewhat like that... haha... Even if we generously call natural-but-glamorous a matter of taste, what is the reason for making them high asymmetrically...? And why perform the upper canthoplasty asymmetrically...? In the first place, I had already had an epicanthoplasty during the first surgery, and I came to fix a loosened double-eyelid line, so there was no need for an upper canthoplasty. Looking back, the surgeon recommended it to create their preferred high double-eyelid look. I remember hearing from staff when I was researching reviews that the surgeon who has since left and opened a private clinic was more meticulous and created more natural results than this surgeon. I sometimes regret not choosing that doctor. I think they said that doctor was an ISTJ, but since I dislike the result, I am now even trying to explain it with absurd MBTI labels... argh, lol. Finally, one thing I really disliked: the clinic is luxurious and clean, but it operates very much like a factory, and it was blatantly obvious that the staff were trying to make money by selling scar ointment and bruise cream to patients inside the clinic. (Just buy them at a pharmacy.) Even the hot/cold pack they handed out as standard seemed cheap. Compared with one I received at another clinic before, the material itself felt inferior, and although I did not use it roughly or heat it at high power for a long time, its contents leaked in less than a week. Even more absurdly, when I told a staff member on the day I went to have my stitches removed that the pack had burst, they told me to buy a new one from them, haha... Anyway, I am not usually good at writing negative stories, but I am posting this for the public good. Is it so disastrously ruined that anyone would gasp? No. Since people do not usually compare the two sides of another person's face to see whether they are symmetrical, I can get by somehow, but the fact is that it is clearly worse than my first surgery at another clinic. Other than feeling defeated every time I do my makeup because I have to make the two eyes completely different, like Jekyll and Hyde, I suppose it is manageable... So I am currently deliberating whether to have a second revision.
