Nose Surgery review at Yeongaenyeong (영앤영) · Nose revision surgery · 2019-02-22

I had a revision surgery here, and a side effect appeared on the bridge of my nose, so I had a third surgery as well, but they did not charge any extra cost for that. But after that, the shape of the bridge of my nose got even more strange. I went to another hospital for a consultation, and the doctor there said it looked like they had done the surgery carelessly and halfheartedly... They said who does surgery like that these days, so I plan to have my next surgery at another hospital. (+) Not long ago, I had the messed-up part from here revised again at another hospital, and after the surgery they showed me the implant they had removed, so I am updating this review because I was stunned. I had definitely been told that when I had the revision surgery at Young & Young before, they had removed all of the Medpor that had been inserted by the previous hospital, but no matter how much I think about it, I kept feeling something inside my nose, and the shape of the tip of my nose did not seem completely removed either, so I asked again several times because I was suspicious. Each time they clearly said they had removed everything, so I felt uneasy but believed them. But when I got surgery at another hospital this time, I saw that Medpor was still left behind. ^^ When I saw the pieces of removed Medpor after surgery, I was just stunned... If I had not had surgery again this time, I would never have known that Medpor was still left inside my nose, right? And to add, when I had the revision surgery at Young & Young, before surgery they said they would open the nose and remove the Gore-Tex too if needed, and because of that they charged over 4 million won for the surgery. But in the end they came out without removing the Gore-Tex, and that caused problems later, so I suffered a lot for several years. Also, before the surgery, there was no mention of using AlloDerm on the tip of the nose, but after the surgery was finished they said the tip looked like it would show, so they had used additional AlloDerm. Shouldn't a patient be told exactly what surgical method and materials will be used before surgery? There are many people who are uncomfortable with AlloDerm, and to end the surgery and then say that afterward without saying anything before was absurd. At the time, the side effects did not appear right away, so I just thought, well, okay, but as the bridge of my nose kept twisting and the tip kept collapsing, there were many problems, so I had surgery again at another hospital. Then I found out that they had not even removed all of the Medpor they had confidently said was removed, and I really could not believe it. As the patient who had the surgery, I am truly stunned, so I am writing only the facts that happened for the public interest.
