The director seemed like they were speaking at length, but there wasn’t much actual substance. Maybe because everyone had already done a lot of research before coming, some things felt obvious. If I had been better at asking questions, it might have been a good consultation. The manager consultation came first; they were very kind, but a little lacking in professionalism. (They didn’t seem to know much about implants or the director’s career.) Because of that, the director consultation that followed also felt a bit muddled.
