I had lip reduction surgery about 3 years ago. At the time, I thought that since they used dissolvable stitches and did the surgery from inside the nostrils, the scar wouldn't show... but no, I had no columella at all and the scar is clearly visible on my huge nostrils ㅜㅜ My philtrum definitely got shorter, but if I did it again, I think I would probably go to a place that cuts under the columella.
