I was someone who was slim in body but had a puffy face, a weak chin, and a double chin because of buccal fat. I went around Gangnam to 4 places for buccal fat removal, and at the other plastic surgery clinics they said they would have to make an incision inside the cheek, remove part of the buccal fat, and then stitch the incision closed, but only at Chijung did they say they would remove the buccal fat completely by suction through a small hole. They also said the incision part was just a tiny hole, so it wouldn’t need stitches. To be honest, the director wasn’t especially friendly during the consultation, but I could see he was confident in this field, and when he explained the surgery method, it looked more professional than the others. He didn’t seem like the type to lure people in with smooth talk and over-treat them, so I actually felt more trust after the consultation. And I was recommended chin-line liposuction and fat grafting to the chin. The liposuction + fat grafting consultation and surgery were done by a different director from the one who handled the buccal fat removal. They seemed to specialize in different areas, which made me trust them even more. The surgery was done under local anesthesia, not sedation, while I had to keep opening my mouth, and it was so terrifying and scary, but now it’s been over 3 years since the surgery, and if I could go back to then, I think I’d endure the fear and have it done again. After the surgery, people really did tell me my face looked small, and the chin fat also gives the front of the chin proper volume so my face looks slimmer. However, since I was originally prone to swelling, the swelling in the chin fat grafted area lasted a really long time. Until 6 months, my chin stayed puffy and looked long. From the 1-year mark, it seemed to settle completely. I don’t know if it was because of the buccal fat removal, but there is a slight hollow in my cheek, though it doesn’t bother me much. I’m satisfied. And since it’s been over 3 years since the surgery, I don’t remember the exact price very well. I think it was just a little more expensive than other places.
