My first double-eyelid surgery made the line too high, so I ended up with sausage eyelids. I had surgery because I wanted to lower the line. They didn't do a double-fold take-down, but the line does seem like it was cleaned up a bit more smoothly. The sausage eyelids stayed the same. I wasn't happy about that, but they didn't pressure me into surgery and were kind.
