The implant had slightly poked through the inside of my nose, so I went in for a removal consultation. It was protruding about 1 to 2 mm in a deep area, so it was hard to see with the naked eye. I got a CT scan, and the director said there seemed to be a foreign body on the scan, but it was so faint that it was hard to distinguish exactly, and there wasn't really any explanation while looking at the CT, so the extra 20,000 won felt a bit wasteful. My current nose has silicone, ear cartilage, and septal cartilage, and in the previous surgery the doctor had put in Medpor without my consent. I want to remove the Medpor and silicone and keep my own cartilage in the nasal tip, but they said the whole thing has to be removed. I didn't know either, but after the consultation I found out I have capsular contracture in my nose.. After the doctor consultation, I met with the consultation manager, who said they would do a good job removing the capsule to prevent contracture as much as possible, and that after removal contracture may or may not happen, the lifted nose tip may come down or may not come down, and they seemed to leave every possibility open. If the whole thing is removed, I feel like the tip of my nose will become too low, so that's worrying me, and the surgery cost is more expensive than I expected, so I'm still thinking about it..
