It’s been 3 years since the surgery, and I think the line looked prettiest at the 2-year mark. It was so natural and really beautiful that people around me didn’t even know I had double eyelid surgery. By about 3 years, the inner corner of my left eye started to loosen, and the difference from my right eye became quite severe. It’s almost down to an inner fold level. There was a difference in the line from the day of surgery. Even my mom and dad said it was uneven. The left eye also had less of the epicanthoplasty done, so the Mongolian fold / cramped feeling remained. I didn’t know that it was standard to wake patients up during sleep anesthesia to check the line when I went into surgery, but this hospital doesn’t wake you up during surgery. There’s no line-check like that. I wanted to get double eyelid surgery quickly at age 21, so I only visited two clinics and went straight into surgery, but I kind of regret it. I’m looking into revision surgery now
