I had double eyelid surgery with Dr. Kim Dong-hyun using the buried suture method, and I remember it was around 2006. I didn't have epicanthoplasty, and I think the line was set at about 8-9 mm in an inline style. My original eyes were medium-sized with very thin hidden double eyelids that were barely visible, and they had no excess fat. A thick, flashy line wouldn't suit my eyes, and I also prefer something natural, so after consulting three clinics I chose Yes. The director's consultation was very kind and not authoritative at all, with a warm feeling, but the nurses and staff were not great. Of course, that was so long ago that the staff has probably all changed. The surgical result made my eyes a little asymmetrical, but the director said there was no need to correct it, and since it didn't seem too bad, I lived with it feeling fairly satisfied. Now that I'm older, my eyelids have sagged and my eyes have gone back to the thin double eyelids I had before surgery. I should look into revision surgery.
