I first came across the doctor on YouTube, and I expected to ask detailed questions in person, so I paid the high consultation fee of 100,000 won and waited for the in-person consultation, which they said would only be available a month later, with high expectations. My impression of the consultation was just... haha. I had already expected something to some degree, but it was even worse than that. I thought they would be frank and use direct language, saying only what was necessary without any embellishment, but that was absolutely not the case. After I entered wearing a mask, they never once asked me to lower it to look directly at my face or touched my skin to check its texture. They just explained everything while looking at the 3D CT. And if you are even a little plump, absolutely do not go. I was curious about the reconstruction method and how the effect would appear, but every answer was basically: you need to lose weight, if you do it while overweight your face will only get bigger, if you lose weight the jawline sagging will be less, and every question came back with an answer to lose weight. I told them enough with the blunt 'lose weight' comments and asked them to answer my questions, saying I wasn't going to have surgery tomorrow with this condition anyway, but they kept on with insulting remarks, saying things like, 'With this height and weight, I said lose weight and you don't want to hear that? You just want a smaller face, so you already had bone shaved...' They lumped all patients together and treated them as if they all say the same thing, and also said that the doctor has seen many patients, but this was my first time meeting the doctor... I told them to stop already. Maybe because it was the last consultation slot before the doctor left work, the coordinator who came in during the consultation was trying to wrap things up and answer in the doctor's place. Even so, I tried to endure it because I didn't want my month of waiting and the consultation fee to go to waste, but I just couldn't do it. It wasn't as if I was saying I would have surgery the day after tomorrow, and I wasn't asking for exact millimeter measurements for the bone cement during reconstruction either. Was it so hard to answer simple questions because they were so consumed by the thought of telling a patient who had waited a month and paid 100,000 won, 'I have to tell them to lose weight'? Even after I clearly said not to do that. Anyway, if anyone is considering surgery or a consultation here, just write down your questions and get an online consultation. That way they probably won't wander off into their own thoughts and will only answer the questions asked. Because they spent the whole time talking about weight, there was no talk about surgery, so I left without even getting a quote. When I asked by KakaoTalk, they had said reconstruction was 550+@ per side (cheekbone left, square jaw right, etc.).
