I had a consultation and procedure for a cheek implant in May 2022. I made the booking date through the KakaoTalk channel, but due to an employee's mistake it was missed, so I couldn't get the procedure done on the day I wanted and was extremely pissed off. I'm not sure if she was the consultation manager, but honestly she was the rudest person I've ever dealt with at any hospital. The doctor kindly explained in detail the side effects, expected benefits, and the pros and cons on my face. The surgery was performed on the consultation day, with 6 mm silicone on both sides. The procedure took about 20 minutes and was done under local anesthesia. There was no pain, but because it wasn't sedation anesthesia, I could hear everything during the procedure, which was a little uncomfortable. There was pain only on the day of the procedure, and the swelling was worst on days 2 to 4. From day 7 the swelling started to go down, and my face looked monkey-like on the day the swelling was at its worst, but that feeling disappeared as the swelling subsided. The nasolabial folds were reduced, but because there is still some residual swelling, I think I need to wait and watch a little longer.
