When I was a university student, I went for a consultation out of curiosity and got caught by their smooth talking, put down a 1 million won deposit, and came back after getting some kind of procedure done. Back then, the consultation manager told me to borrow money from a credit information place, pay more on top of the deposit, and that they'd give me some benefit if I did that. I really didn't think that was okay, so I didn't do it. Later, once I came to my senses, I asked for a refund of the 1 million won deposit, but they said it couldn't be refunded because I hadn't even scheduled a surgery date. I don't know whether it was the consultation manager or the hospital, but it was a scammy hospital.
