It has been a while since I had the surgery. Because my nose tip was already fairly high, I only had an implant placed in the bridge. At first, when I said I only wanted the bridge done, they agreed, and since my skin was thin, they suggested adding artificial dermis over the silicone. I had it done with a non-open approach, inserted through one nostril. They also said my nose was slightly crooked, so they did osteotomy by scraping along both sides? Additionally, during recovery after the splint was removed, I felt like the silicone was a bit crooked, and around 6 months later, when I felt the swelling was gone, I told people I was worried it was crooked, and they agreed that it really was. It was more noticeable in photos. I booked a follow-up consultation and visited, and the manager said that my nose was originally crooked and that this was the best match they could achieve, and that they remembered me as one of the successful cases. I realized something was wrong and started studying rhinoplasty a lot from then on. If possible, get nose surgery with an open approach.. and don’t expect aesthetic sense if the surgeon isn’t a board-certified plastic surgeon. Also, the biggest issue was that I recently went to Seoul to look into revision surgery, and after seeing the CT, they said the silicone had been inserted long from the glabella all the way to the tip. I wonder what would have happened if I had studied carefully from the beginning and gone to Seoul.. I regret not researching enough.
