A long time ago I had only my columella and tip done with autologous ear cartilage, without any implant. I have had absolutely no side effects and I'm extremely satisfied. The biggest advantage is that it harmonizes well with my existing face, looks natural, and feels comfortable. There's no discomfort or foreign-body sensation at all, and it's so comfortable that I still can't break my habit of sleeping with my nose buried in the pillow... Right after surgery I was tense, but after about half a year? I would wake up in the morning with my nose buried in the pillow again without even realizing it, haha. It may be disappointing for people who want an obviously operated-on nose or a flashy nose, but I strongly recommend it for people who want a natural improvement or for people who are sensitive and can't tolerate discomfort or a foreign-body sensation. If you think of celebrity noses, something like Suzy, Jung Chae-yeon, or Seol Yoon would be the vibe. It's definitely not the shaped-doll, Instagram-star influencer kind of nose. It feels like a natural nose. If you hate artificial-looking things like nostril reduction. If you really hate that uncanny, fish-human look. If you hate discomfort in daily life. If you want surgery that can be sustained over time. Because it aims for something comfortable that doesn't interfere with daily life and that harmonizes with the eyes, nose, and mouth you already have, there may be cases where people feel disappointed that the change isn't dramatic. But I think they did the maximum possible within the range that doesn't break the harmony the person already has. I went for consultation twice or three times, and because I'm a scaredy-cat I even brought my mom, but they never showed any annoyance and explained everything slowly and in detail every time I went. Compared with other hospitals, I thought they were more human and kinder, though I was surprised that opinions on their kindness were so divided... Personally, they also felt more like an internal medicine doctor or a doctor from another department than a plastic surgeon. The facilities are old, but it just felt like a warm neighborhood clinic, which put me at ease. I think it's a hundred times better than a place with shiny facilities and only polite-sounding words.
