10 years ago, when I was young, they said to do it with buried sutures, but the line was also low and one eye came completely undone, so I had revision surgery. And the line only barely reached the end of the iris, which was really funny. Also, the part that had been tied with buried sutures kept leaving a pinched scar. They are persuasive with words.
