About 14 or 15 years ago, I had double-eyelid incisional surgery, magic inner corner surgery, and tip rhinoplasty. Back then, magic inner corner surgery had only recently come out, and the hospital seemed to be pushing it hard. The director strongly recommended it, saying it would leave no scar and look so pretty. In reality, I had narrow eyes horizontally but a high vertical eyelid opening, so I didn’t need an upper corner correction, but I was a senior in high school and didn’t think deeply because they told me I’d look prettier, so I got it. Even now, 14 years later, I’ve been suffering terribly from side effects of the magic inner corner surgery, and only recently did I finally get revision from a specialty hospital in Seoul for inner corner restoration. The director at the revision hospital also regretted that the first hospital had overly removed the lower and upper eyelid tissue during the inner corner surgery. In between, my parents and I went to the Seoul plastic surgery clinic to complain, and that director admitted it and apologized, even sewing the front line back up? but it just reopened and left even more scars. As for my nose, I had a high nose, but they recommended adding cartilage to make it bigger and higher, and I went ahead with it, and I only had that removed recently at a removal specialty hospital in Seoul. Hmm... what the Gangneung Seoul Plastic Surgery Clinic left me with was... 300 for inner corner restoration in Seoul, 250 for nose removal, and a scar from double-eyelid incisional surgery. The doctors still say the double-eyelid incision scar is severe...^^ I’ve heard they’re good at non-incisional methods, but maybe not incisional surgery. Now it’s been 10 years, so they must have gained experience, and in the meantime they must have seen patients with side effects too, so I wonder if they’ve improved a bit compared with back then.
