The consultation itself did not feel insincere, and I got the impression that he was confident in his surgical approach. However, personally, I do not want fascia used in my first surgery, so I plan to put it on hold for now. I will use what I heard in the consultation as a reference, but I plan to look into other clinics before deciding.
