It had been a long time since my nose surgery, but I went in for a consultation because I suspected inflammation and something that looked like it was showing through. The earliest appointment was easy to get, and there was no wait. The consultation lasted about 30 minutes. One thing I slightly regretted was that since it was my first consultation, I didn’t go in with a clear plan, and the director is the type who doesn’t really volunteer opinions, so I think you need to decide in advance how you want the surgery or removal done based on the current situation. From reading other people’s consultation experiences, it didn’t seem very different from what I was told, and what was written on the blog was almost exactly the consultation content. They didn’t specifically comment on my nose, and they weren’t interested in photos of my original nose. It seems like the photos are mostly of people whose noses were already high before removal, so for many of them there was barely any visible difference before and after. What the manager said about possible contracture even if it is removed is bothering me. I was drawn to the fact that they said it could be easily done with a closed approach, and at the consultation I thought the cost was expensive, but later I found out other hospitals are not exactly cheap either, so I’m still debating.
