I consulted at four places in total, and this was the one I trusted the most. Why? At the three places I went to before, all they said was, "The columella is very bent, so we can't use columellar cartilage." But here, they said the columella is very bent, so if I have surgery, there's a high chance breathing could become more uncomfortable. They also explained in the most detail why autologous costal cartilage would be needed. They said that after surgery there will definitely be tiny wounds inside, and donated rib cartilage could have a chance of causing an inflammatory reaction. Among all the places I visited, this was the one that thought most about patient safety. So it made me start thinking about nose surgery itself again...
