I had my first nose surgery in 2016. I had a hump nose and a pointed nose, so they built a support with septal cartilage, shaved down the hump, and placed a thin layer of silicone on top. Right from the start, it was designed with a very sharp tip, so it looked obvious, and I was unhappy with the shape, but I kept living thinking at least it was prettier than before surgery. But the doctor’s attitude before and after surgery changed drastically. Before surgery, they were very kind, but after surgery they acted kind of dismissively? At the 1-month mark, I dropped my phone on my nose and asked if it was okay, and they pressed on my nose very!! very hard with their thumb while saying, “ Even if it’s like this, it won’t bend~” When I said, “What are you doing!!” they said that if the surgery went well, even pressing that hard wouldn’t make it bend. The problem is, starting around years 2-3, I felt like the tip of my nose was lifting. So when I went to the hospital, they sent me back, saying that after nose surgery you only look at your own nose and see things you couldn’t see before, and that there was no difference at all in the photos. At year 6, I thought it looked lifted no matter how I looked at it, so I went back to the hospital. We compared photos from 6 months after surgery -> 2-3 years -> 6 years, and could clearly see the nose was lifting more and more The doctor and the consultation manager both admitted it. And then, as it kept lifting and lifting, the cartilage visibility eventually became very severe. (After visiting several places for revision consultation, it was not contracture.) Looking at recent reviews, they still design some people’s noses to be very sharp.. I’m oddly worried those people might end up with the same side effects as me 6-7 years later. Oh right, the forehead fat grafting all disappeared! ^_^
