Nose Surgery review at Kokorain (코코라인) · 2024-05-19

A close acquaintance was very satisfied after surgery at this hospital, so I came in. During the consultation, they told me that after double jaw surgery people usually end up getting nose surgery too, and it seemed that the surgical methods were more or less similar at each hospital (another hospital mentioned osteotomy and correcting the crooked nasal bone as well, but they explained that because my face already has asymmetry, straightening the nose might actually look stranger, which gave me some trust). I was self-conscious about my wide nostrils, but they explained that it was my mouth that was small, not that my nostrils were wide. I had almost no glabella, so I asked for more height at the glabella and for the nose to gain height without becoming much longer. Honestly, I didn’t have a lot of obsession with the shape itself, so I excluded plastic surgery clinics that would use costal cartilage just to add a lot of height, and ENT clinics that said they would perform osteotomy to correct the crookedness, and chose this hospital. Actually, I already had a feeling from the start that I would do it here, so in the end I had surgery at this hospital! The advantages are that the doctor explains things well, and that they have continued for 10 years at the same hospital, same location, with the same manager, which is not easy, so I trusted them. That is a very, very big point. At least for nose surgery, because it has many complications, I think it should not be ruined even if the result is a little less satisfying. The fact that they provide 2 years of free aftercare is also a big advantage! The disadvantage is that if you want to be picky about height or shape, you may not agree with the director (for example, I expressed my personal opinion that I wanted nostril reduction and a nose tip with more height, even if it meant using ear cartilage.. but nostril reduction was not done, and only septal cartilage was used). Personally, at another hospital after double jaw surgery, my septal cartilage was small and they recommended costal cartilage or at least both ear cartilages, saying that if too much is removed it may wobble or sink later, so I worry that there may be shape problems later. A acquaintance who had surgery here said the nose tip came down, and although they expressed concerns about height and the nose tip, even right after surgery it felt insufficiently high, which was very disappointing.. (a nose only goes down over time; it will not go up..) - Conclusion: If you want a nose that is very satisfying in shape even if it is excessive, I recommend another hospital. If you want a safe approach with fewer side effects, even if it is a bit disappointing, and want a natural change, I strongly recommend Cocoline - Cost: I did not have nostril reduction or osteotomy, and did not even use ear cartilage, yet the estimate was the same as a hospital that said they would use ear cartilage and osteotomy to correct a crooked nasal bone. It doesn’t seem cheap, but I proceeded here because I wanted it done safely
