Maybe because they specialize in fixing ruined eyes, their reconstruction felt conservative too. I visited expecting them to be unfriendly because of the reviews, but they weren't unfriendly, just businesslike, though professional. They explained the surgery well, and showed me before-and-after photos of similar cases. I went in thinking maybe I should close things by about 1 mm, but they recommended removing the hook on one side only without any reconstruction, so I ended up thinking about it a lot... The counselor also showed me similar cases and explained things. They emphasized the importance of aftercare a lot, which I understand since they mostly deal with patients who are sensitive after bad surgeries, but I came away hearing more about the possibility that things might not turn out the way I hoped rather than hopeful things, and my mind is all over the place...
