I went with my parents for a consultation in high school and then had buried double eyelid surgery. I went because several friends had gotten it done here at the time. Back then I didn’t even know about this community, and I didn’t know anything about words like hospital shopping or doing hands-on research, so I really just listened to my friends and begged my parents to go with me. The doctor was kind, but maybe because the clinic was quite large, I remember it feeling a bit factory-like, and the staff were somewhat busy and the atmosphere a little chaotic. I already had a natural double eyelid, but it would easily loosen and the line would fluctuate, so I had gone there to fix the natural crease with buried sutures. My case was probably very easy in terms of surgery difficulty. I was worried about ptosis, so I asked whether I should also have eye-opening correction, but they discouraged it, and I’m still thankful now that I didn’t do it. Since it was my first surgery, I was scared afterward and asked about many things and visited often, but they explained everything kindly. However, from the one-year mark after the surgery, the line gradually became too weak, and now in the third year it feels a bit... loosened. The line has become very faint, and when I wake up in the morning, the right eyelid crease doesn’t really stay in place, and the front part of the line seems to disappear. I asked about AS at the one-year mark and was told it wasn’t loosened, but back then I was an ignorant high school student, so I thought they were kind and the consultation was okay. Looking back now, I think I was unbelievably lucky to have gotten plastic surgery by just walking into a neighborhood clinic without knowing anything...
