I came back to this community for the first time in a while, and there were so many related posts and private comments that I copied over the review I left on another site. My heart hurts every time I see posts and comments saying it was a total failure. I hope my review helps you make a wise choice. For reference, even though I ended up with severe side effects, I have received absolutely no proper aftercare, no refund, and no revision surgery fee, and I’ve been shut in for two years now. One-line summary: I hope this review helps with making a careful decision. This post was written based on the 'rights of consumers' guaranteed by our Constitution and the Framework Act on Consumers, and I state that it has no purpose of defaming this medical institution beyond objectively sharing information and helping other patients, and serving the public interest. For your correct decision and the public interest, I will write only the facts as they are without any flattery. Anyway, they never admit side effects and keep monitoring the internet, and whenever a post about side effects comes up, they send a certified letter saying they will sue with a lawyer, so even if I try to hide my identity, they’ll probably figure it out and contact me again. That is just my personal opinion. Rather than hide my identity and twist things around to mislead prospective patients, I’ll write exactly what happened. I am a patient who is almost two years out from inner corner surgery, upper outer corner surgery, eye correction, and partial incision surgery. Starting from one month after surgery, I developed inner-corner side effects and scars that I had not been informed about during consultation, so I contacted the clinic, but the staff said they could not provide any aftercare. (I saved screenshots of the KakaoTalk evidence.) As the swelling went down, my eyes became completely different from the design we had discussed beforehand, and the asymmetry became severe, so I came back two months later. At a time when business hours were almost over, they called in a patient with side effects and then made me wait another hour without any explanation or apology. In the end, only after I argued with the counter staff was I able to meet the doctor. But he said he had done nothing wrong, that this is what happens after surgery, and that if I wanted the scar gone, he would do a surgery called 'inner-lower corner surgery,' but I would have to pay for it. Later, after talking with another patient who had the same damage, I found out that they had told that person to pay 500,000 won too. (I saved a screenshot of the message.) Simply put, there is no aftercare. They talked down to a patient who was struggling because of side effects, interrupted me, raised their voice, hit the desk, and even used abusive language toward the patient’s guardian like 'my child...' and so on. (I have an audio recording.) The term sounds like verbal abuse, but in effect it was basically family-shaming abuse. So I wrote about it in an online cafe to prevent other patients from being harmed (I did not mention the clinic name or the doctor’s name, and it was basically impossible to infer), and they somehow found out again and sent a certified letter saying they would hire a lawyer and sue me. (I have the original document.) And then a settlement process that lasted several months began. Their attitude during that process was as follows. (I have all the call recordings.) I asked for a quick reply, but they stalled for two weeks before answering, and although the average cost of inner-corner revision is 2.5 million won, they played games by saying they could settle it with 200,000 won at their clinic and that they would pay only 200,000 won. On the final in-person meeting, they even shouted that the costs you caused me were 150 million won, so they would sue to get damages. (I have a recording.) In the end, they broke off the settlement, saying they could not refund me and could not pay for revision surgery either. Even when I went to ask what they had done to my eyes, they handed me a few pages of medical records, called in a proxy, and walked out of the room. When I asked other doctors about those medical records, they said they didn’t even know what the terms meant. So that means they did not take responsibility for the side effects they caused, right? Coincidentally, on several sites including ***, negative reviews about this clinic have been pouring in since the second half of 2020. All I did was write posts describing what I experienced, without even mentioning the clinic name or the doctor’s name... Who is really the one causing 1.5 billion won in damages? Me, or the resentful reviews written by all the patients whose eyes and noses were ruined? Or is it your character as a human being? There isn’t even a number to measure it by, so there’s no definitive answer, but the people who know will know. I didn’t participate, but I even got a flood of private messages saying there was already a group chat set up for a class-action lawsuit. If you find out about this, will you change the name again and move to another clinic? They say that if a person piles up bad karma, they will definitely pay the price for it. It is very unfortunate that in more than 40 years of life, you have not learned how to take responsibility for what you have done. It’s not too late yet, so learn how to take responsibility and put it into practice. Clinic review: As for the staff... I feel like they played a major role in this mess by failing to properly calm down a patient who had side effects. Using too many emojis on a patient who is suffering from side effects, and saying there is nothing they can do for us...(I saved screenshots of the KakaoTalk messages.) The facility was decent enough, but the waiting time was way too long, and I never heard any apology or understanding about that. If you pay by card, they quote a price over 3 million won, but if you pay in cash + provide photos, they drastically lower the price so that the patient has no choice but to pick the latter. Given the nature of ***, where you can only write a review after verifying a receipt or a card payment text message, maybe that’s why there are fewer reviews there than on other sites overflowing with complaints... But after looking at various reviews, it seems they still haven’t learned how to take responsibility for what they did. If they threaten me with another lawsuit, I was going to release all the evidence, including the recordings, on multiple sites. But seeing that they don’t even manage other people’s reviews, maybe they’ve given up on review management altogether... For those of you who got side effects like me, stay strong. I’m still hanging in there and not killing myself.
