I had submental liposuction and platysma muscle tightening surgery. The major swelling went down quickly, while the residual swelling seemed to keep subsiding for about six months. I only consulted with the coordinator, and after deciding on surgery, the consultation with the director was brief and took place just before surgery. After surgery, the swelling was not as severe as I expected, and I had almost no bruising, so I was satisfied. The double chin was definitely reduced, although I cannot say it disappeared completely. The scar lasted quite a long time and was still raised after eight months. Even so, I had been deliberating over my double chin for a long time, and I was satisfied enough that I would still have the surgery again.
