Eye revision surgery, first nose surgery The incision scar on my eyes is bumpy, so when I wash my hair at the salon I have to close my eyes, and I feel embarrassed when I lie with my eyes closed on my boyfriend’s lap. I had nose surgery without an implant, but maybe they took too much septal cartilage, because as soon as the splint and nasal support came off, it collapsed. I can’t put my hand into one nostril because the septum is bent toward that side. I don’t even know what they did with the stitches, but there’s a hard thread-like thing sticking out inside my nose near the septum. It won’t come out, and I’m scared so I’m just leaving it alone. When I went for follow-up, I asked if I had developed a deviated septum, but they said no. At another hospital I got a CT before revision surgery, and it had completely collapsed. My nose became even lower than before the first surgery, like a saddle nose. I asked them to show me the surgery records, asked how much height they had added, and when I asked questions like that, on the day of surgery they said, “Uh, just a moment, I think the director hasn’t written the record yet.” Then even a week after surgery there was still no record in my surgical chart^^ The staff looked flustered and said, “They usually write it after surgery, so why isn’t it there...” and I really don’t trust them. In the end, it became a weird nose that only made my midface look longer.
