I had incisional double-eyelid surgery, but only the right side came undone, so I had revision surgery. It was bothersome to keep using double-eyelid tape on only one side, and doing it myself made the lines look uneven. A younger acquaintance had double-eyelid surgery at [Clinic A] and it has not come undone for three years, so I thought mine would hold well too if I went to the same place. I booked a consultation and ended up having surgery. My first impression upon entering was that it was clean? There were not many people at first, but quite a lot by the time I came out of the consultation. The consultation took a long time, so I recommend booking a time before noon.. After registering, I consulted with the coordinator, then went into the consultation room and met the surgeon. They said a line can come undone because it was set incorrectly, or because the epicanthal fold is pronounced. My epicanthal folds are not extremely pronounced, but there was still some pulling force at the front part of my double eyelids, so they explained that the incorrect right-side line combined with a slight epicanthal-fold issue. They would revise only the right double eyelid and perform upper canthoplasty on both sides, and that preventing the line from coming undone any further in advance was the best approach. What worried me most was that revising only one double eyelid might create crooked, mismatched lines, but the surgery achieved good symmetry. Even with just one upper canthoplasty, my eyes seem slightly more open, and because the front eye shape became softer and prettier, my face looks a little different when I smile. It has now been over a year, and unlike before when it came undone after only three months, it is lasting, so I think it may last at least three years like my acquaintance’s. People around me are making a huge fuss about how pretty it is... There were days when I panicked, wondering whether only my acquaintance had gotten great results, but I guess it was simply a skilled clinic.
