There was even a doctor who told me to have surgery saying I would become prettier, showing post-op photos and saying, “Pretty, right? lol” But the doctor here seems never to say that it will definitely go well… When I asked during the coordinator consultation, I was told the doctor focuses on making an accurate diagnosis, and whether it goes well or not is so subjective that even if the doctor thinks it went well, it did not if the patient does not; that is why the doctor does not say in advance that it will go well. I thought that made sense. They also take photos of you smiling here, because they check how the shape of the fat changes when you smile and whether there is any unevenness in the skin. They also ask in detail whether you have had injections such as filler, Juvelook, or Rejuran, because if you have had those, unevenness can show through the thin under-eye skin T_T. They also emphasized that under-eye fat repositioning is not a surgery that makes the area puffy. They said people seem to think it is, based on reviews of clinics that do it together with fat grafting lol. It is not about becoming puffy; it is a surgery to become flatter. That is what I wanted, so I was listening thinking, “Exactly?” haha. Overall, the consultation and clinic atmosphere felt reassuring.
